Where do you go to a beach in Kansas you ask? We went to the Shawnee Mission Park Beach with our friends Christine, Luke and Benjamin. We've never been to a "beach" in the Kansas City area. We had some tired kids by the end of the afternoon. Sand and a few buckets and shovels busied them for many hours. It was hot, hot, hot today.
Some how there were shells there??? I didn't know there were shells in freshwater. Maybe someone put them there??? At any rate the boys collected shells at the lake in Kansas!

Then we had to drive by our old townhouse which is on our way back. Keegan likes to drive by and then we tell the story of where his room was and how we use to walk over to Family Tree Nursery etc. Then Sam insists he was alive then. :) Just like the other day when he was looking at a picture of me, Josh and Clara holding Keegan when he was in the NICU and Sam told me, "I was there. I was standing behind Daddy!" You were only a thought buddy.

You were only a thought buddy.Josh has been carpooling to work with our neighbor, to save money and preserve energy, so instead of going home with Ryan we got to pick him up from work on our way home too. A special treat to drive home with Daddy!
