Mom’s Outlet: Grandma Yvonne and Papa Skip help celebrate Sam's bday

Thanks for coming to visit us, bringing Sam the many special gifts and taking us all out to Red Lobster - Sam's choice! We always have such a great time when you come!

Out of the mouths of my babes:

Sam after mishearing the word "budge" - "Fudge! I like fudge!" - Age 3

Keegan in response to his teacher giving me a hanging flower basket, "You would think my mom would be the flower person, but my dad is the flower person in our family." Age-6

Sam walking into the room, "Hmmm, what am I doing?" Just like I do when I forget what I came into a room for. Age-4

Keegan: Why does Clara say she looks bad? I think she is beautiful. Age -5

Keegan at Wal-Mart: Target is a little more expensive but more calm than Wal-mart. Me: Exactly. You hit the nail on the head and that is why we normally go to Target. - Age 7

One day while driving...

Sam: Mom will you please buy me that? Me: Buy you what? Sam: That house. He is certainly my son. Age - 4

Keegan telling Josh about our time at the Senate Gallery. "Obama wasn't there. He was gone camping." Because I told him that Obama wasn't in the Senate hearing because he was gone campaigning. Age- 7

Keegan saying a prayers at dinner: "Thank you for my mom, my dad, my brother and my little brother that hasn't come out of my mom's stomach yet." Age- 7

Sam to mom: "Remember a long time ago when you were a kid?" Age- 4

Talking to Keegan on the phone from the hospital. Me: I will be thinking about you all day. Keegan: "I thought about you all night." Age-7

While Sophia is babbling, Me: "What is she saying?", Sam: "She's talking to God." Me: "What is she talking to God about?" Sam "She's saying please give me a Barbie set." Age 5

Listening to Lady Gaga song on radio....Keegan says, "Mom, do you think Lady Gaga's kind of inappropriate?" - Age 9

Sam comes in from pool and says, "Mom did you know I get my best ideas when I'm wet?" I smile. Sam says, "What? I do!" Age 6

Keegan in repsonse to Great Grandpa Slaughter asking him who he sits by at school, "A really anoying girl who wants to tell me her feelings all the time." Then laughter from us. "What? She does. She has a whole list."
